Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance a high-performance reverse proxy platform, including managing its binary, configuration tools, and container lifecycle on secure Linux systems, while supporting CDN, WAF, and traffic routing components.
- Design and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform and Terragrunt to provision and maintain AWS resources such as EKS clusters, load balancers, IAM roles, VPCs, ECR registries, and related services across multiple regions, including GovCloud.
- Operate large-scale Kubernetes environments using EKS, managed through GitOps with FluxCD and Helm, including node image updates, add-on versioning, and autoscaling configurations.
- Develop and maintain standardized CI/CD pipelines in GitLab used company-wide, and create specialized workflows for isolated government cloud deployments.
- Reduce manual operations through automation, including container image updates, node image rotations, syncing images to air-gapped environments, and generating merge requests for routine patching.
- Configure and manage observability systems using Datadap, defining SLOs, alerts, and dashboards via infrastructure as code, and participate in incident response for production and government environments.
- Support compliance-focused operations in FedRAMP-authorized environments, handling air-gapped deployments, isolated automation, and compliant alerting practices.
- Evaluate, test, and promote internal developer tools that increase productivity, such as self-service platforms and developer portals, to improve engineering efficiency.
- Collaborate with peers through code reviews, architectural discussions, and documentation to promote operational excellence and knowledge sharing.
- Lead the strategic integration of AI-powered tools within infrastructure and development workflows to enhance debugging, design quality, and project delivery.
