Responsibilities
- Process and record customer payments accurately and on time within financial systems, ensuring correct application to invoices and customer accounts.
- Download and review daily bank transaction data to confirm incoming payments and facilitate cash posting activities.
- Investigate and resolve outstanding items, unapplied funds, unidentified receipts, partial payments, and other discrepancies affecting cash application.
- Work closely with collections, finance, accounting, tax, and banking departments to address payment issues and correct account variances promptly.
- Conduct routine reconciliations across accounts receivable ledgers, bank records, and the general ledger to maintain data accuracy and integrity.
- Generate, manage, and share reports on cash application, unapplied funds, reconciliations, performance metrics, and other operational needs.
- Assist with month-end closing tasks, audits, and compliance initiatives while adhering to internal controls and company policies.
- Help meet defined service level agreements, key performance indicators, and team productivity goals.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and standardization to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
- Provide reliable support to internal teams with clear, professional, and timely communication focused on solutions.
