About the Role
The Speech Language Pathology Assistant will work under the supervision of licensed speech-language pathologists to deliver treatment plans, track client outcomes, and maintain accurate records in a virtual environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing individualized therapy programs designed by licensed clinicians
- Conduct therapy sessions via secure telehealth platforms
- Monitor and document client progress according to established protocols
- Prepare session materials and activities in alignment with treatment goals
- Support data collection during client interactions
- Communicate client performance updates to supervising clinicians
- Maintain confidentiality of client records and information
- Follow clinical guidelines and ethical standards in all practices
- Participate in training sessions to stay current with best practices
- Collaborate with team members to ensure continuity of care
- Adapt resources to meet diverse client needs and learning styles
- Assist with scheduling and organizing therapy appointments
- Engage clients and families with clear, professional communication
- Support the onboarding process for new clients
- Use digital tools to track attendance and session notes
- Contribute to client goal-setting under clinical supervision
- Respond to feedback from supervisors to improve service delivery
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations
- Support quality improvement initiatives within the clinical team
- Attend team meetings and case review sessions
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree in communication sciences or related discipline
- Experience delivering therapy services remotely
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems
- Additional training in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC)
- Experience in school-based therapy programs
- Bilingual communication skills
- Knowledge of IEP processes
- Certification from a nationally recognized SLPA program
