About the Role
The Speech Language Pathology Assistant will work under the supervision of licensed speech-language pathologists to implement therapy plans, document progress, and support client communication development in a remote environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing individualized therapy programs designed by licensed clinicians
- Conduct therapy sessions in a virtual setting following established treatment plans
- Monitor and document client progress during therapy activities
- Support clients with speech, language, and communication challenges
- Use digital tools and platforms to deliver remote therapy services
- Maintain accurate session records and client notes
- Communicate regularly with supervising clinicians on client performance
- Adapt materials to meet diverse client needs and learning styles
- Follow ethical and professional guidelines in all client interactions
- Participate in training and professional development activities
- Ensure compliance with confidentiality and privacy standards
- Assist in preparing therapy materials and resources
- Engage clients and families in therapeutic activities
- Support carryover of skills between sessions
- Respond to feedback from supervisors to improve service delivery
- Maintain consistent and punctual session scheduling
- Collaborate with team members to enhance client outcomes
- Use data to inform therapy adjustments
- Support clients across different age groups and ability levels
- Uphold professional standards in all aspects of service provision
