About the Role
The professional will deliver speech and language therapy services remotely to children, conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with families and educational teams to support client progress.
Responsibilities
- Conduct remote speech and language assessments for pediatric patients
- Diagnose communication and swallowing disorders using standardized tools
- Create individualized treatment plans based on assessment results
- Deliver teletherapy sessions to children with speech impairments
- Monitor client progress and adjust therapy strategies as needed
- Collaborate with parents and caregivers to support therapy goals
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Participate in team meetings with other therapy professionals
- Ensure compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations
- Use evidence-based practices in all therapeutic interventions
- Provide feedback to families on client development and milestones
- Coordinate with school personnel when applicable
- Develop goals aligned with individual client needs
- Implement strategies for articulation, language comprehension, and expression
- Support clients with social communication challenges
- Address feeding and swallowing difficulties in children
- Respond to client inquiries in a timely manner
- Attend professional development opportunities
- Follow ethical guidelines set by professional licensing boards
- Manage caseload efficiently and effectively
Nice to Have
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Experience with autism spectrum disorders
- Training in PROMPT or other tactile-kinesthetic approaches
- Experience in school-based therapy settings
- Knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC)
- Certification in telepractice
- Experience with early intervention programs
- Professional development in pediatric feeding therapy
