About the Role
The professional will deliver speech and language therapy services remotely, working with individuals to improve communication abilities and address swallowing difficulties through evidence-based practices and individualized treatment plans.
Responsibilities
- Conduct remote evaluations of speech, language, and swallowing abilities
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings
- Deliver therapy sessions via secure telehealth platforms
- Monitor and document patient progress consistently
- Collaborate with caregivers and other professionals
- Adapt interventions to meet diverse patient needs
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and privacy standards
- Participate in team meetings and case reviews
- Use standardized assessment tools remotely
- Provide feedback and recommendations to families
- Create and modify therapy materials for virtual delivery
- Ensure timely documentation in electronic health records
- Follow clinical protocols and best practices
- Support patients across pediatric and adult populations
- Engage in ongoing professional development
- Respond to patient and family inquiries promptly
- Coordinate care transitions when necessary
- Maintain licensure and certification requirements
- Uphold ethical standards in telepractice
- Assist with program improvement initiatives
