About the Role
The professional will deliver speech and language therapy services remotely to pediatric and adult clients, conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with families and caregivers to support communication progress.
Responsibilities
- Deliver teletherapy sessions to individuals with speech and language disorders
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of communication abilities
- Create individualized treatment plans based on client needs
- Monitor and document client progress regularly
- Collaborate with families to support therapy goals at home
- Provide culturally responsive care for Spanish-speaking clients
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Participate in team meetings and case reviews
- Coordinate with other healthcare providers as needed
- Adapt therapy materials for diverse age groups and conditions
- Ensure compliance with licensure and regulatory standards
- Use secure telehealth platforms for service delivery
- Respond to client and family inquiries promptly
- Attend professional development opportunities
- Support transition planning for school-aged clients
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques
- Assess bilingual language development appropriately
- Train caregivers in communication strategies
- Address articulation, fluency, and language delays
- Evaluate swallowing disorders when applicable
