Responsibilities
- Provides daily oversight of animal care, including access to water, feed, and proper management practices
- Recruits, develops, and trains team members to effectively perform their duties
- Follows established company procedures and protocols in all operations
- Supports cost control efforts related to feed, supplies, and workforce management
- Establishes measurable short- and long-term objectives for breeding and farrowing performance
- Ensures accurate tracking and reporting of animal inventory and production data
- Plans and supervises special projects from initiation to completion
- Identifies and proposes improvements for operational efficiency and effectiveness
- Conducts regular safety meetings and enforces safe work practices among staff
- Performs routine maintenance on facilities, land, and equipment as needed
- Fosters clear and consistent communication across all levels, including frontline staff and leadership
- Adheres to biosecurity standards designed to protect animal health and prevent disease
- Upholds high standards of animal well-being across all operations
- Supports additional tasks and responsibilities as directed

- Local travel required, typically within a 30-mile radius
- Occasional travel beyond local area may be necessary
- Post-offer drug, alcohol, and background screenings are required prior to employment
