Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Architectural Advice Forum to promote decentralized decision-making, documented through Architecture Decision Records.
- Develop high-quality Proof of Concepts to validate new architectural approaches and reduce risks before organization-wide implementation.
- Collaborate with the CTO on shaping AI strategy, including identifying use cases, assessing tools, building prototypes, and guiding responsible AI integration across development and products.
- Establish consistent standards across backend, web, and mobile engineering in areas such as design patterns, observability, security, testing, and delivery practices.
- Define and maintain engineering quality benchmarks across all technical domains, demonstrated through personal contributions in code reviews and POCs.
- Integrate security as a core component of all system designs, ensuring it is foundational rather than an afterthought.
- Define and evolve threat modeling, secure-by-default configurations, and layered defense strategies in collaboration with security teams.
- Promote Domain-Driven Design and Event-Driven Architecture as core methodologies for domain modeling and system evolution.
- Collaborate with Site Reliability Engineering on improving system reliability, scalability, incident response, and internal developer platform capabilities.
- Mentor and guide engineers across teams through influence and example, raising the overall architectural maturity of the organization.
- Proactively identify and resolve systemic technical risks, accumulated technical debt, and inter-team dependencies before they impact production.
- Maintain and evolve engineering principles and the organization’s Tech Radar, contributing to discussions on regulatory, security, and risk-related architecture topics.
- Foster an environment that attracts and retains skilled professionals and drives innovation centered on Bitcoin-based solutions.
