Responsibilities
- Act as the principal engineering contributor within a designated product or platform domain.
- Translate architectural strategies into fully operational, deployed solutions.
- Conduct and lead technical design evaluations, ensuring code quality and adherence to standards before integration.
- Take full accountability for system performance and incident response during production incidents, including off-hours.
- Guide and coordinate a distributed team of engineers, including both domestic and offshore members, without formal managerial authority.
- Define and establish reusable technical conventions and patterns adopted by the engineering team.
- Maintain end-to-end ownership across multiple product or platform components, spanning legacy infrastructure and modern services.
- Oversee the complete lifecycle of service development, from initial design documentation through dual-write deployment, traffic segmentation, tenant-specific feature flagging, and seamless cutover.
- Determine the sequence for decomposing monolithic systems, define service boundaries, and oversee data migration efforts.
- Deliver integrated full-stack features encompassing micro-frontend modules using React and Next.js, API and BFF interfaces, shared UI components, domain-specific microservices with event-driven architecture, and performance and monitoring tooling.
- Implement comprehensive observability solutions including Core Web Vitals tracking, API latency thresholds, OpenTelemetry tracing across client and server, CloudWatch dashboards, and performance baselines prior to deployment.
- Collaborate on AI agent development by defining and maintaining domain-side tooling contracts, including data schema, service-level agreements, idempotency guarantees, test evaluation data, and safety controls.
- Enhance team efficiency, output quality, and engineering capability through iterative improvements in development practices within agentic system frameworks.
- Establish and maintain cross-functional agreements, code and design review rhythms, on-call protocols, incident ownership models, and provide mentorship to engineers.
