Responsibilities
- Enforce release approval decisions based on strict criteria for data accuracy, system security, and essential process reliability.
- Track and reduce defects that reach customers, aiming for measurable year-on-year improvement in product quality.
- Manage a centralized quality dashboard and lead monthly cross-functional quality reviews with leadership and support teams.
- Define and uphold the completion criteria for all product development work in collaboration with Scrum Masters.
- Engage early in design and requirement phases to identify potential quality risks before coding starts.
- Maintain ownership of the testing framework, specifying scope, depth, and quality benchmarks for all test cases.
- Supervise and organize QA testers to ensure timely and accurate execution of regression and manual testing.
- Evaluate and approve test contributions to preserve consistency and quality in automated testing frameworks.
- Build team capability so testers can independently handle most regression testing tasks.
- Manage the full release lifecycle, including timelines, checklists, stakeholder updates, and user acceptance testing.
- Collaborate with Product Managers to assess and prioritize bug fixes for emergency patches and service updates.
- Lead intensive post-release monitoring within the first 48 hours using real-time telemetry and performance dashboards.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years in software quality assurance with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience with release management and defect tracking systems.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum practices.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to influence across departments.
- Background in SaaS or enterprise software development.
- Familiarity with telemetry, monitoring tools, and data-driven quality analysis.
