Responsibilities
- Designs and builds computer applications or specialized utility software
- Evaluates user requirements and develops appropriate software solutions
- Creates or adapts software for client environments to improve operational performance
- Conducts analysis and design work within specific application domains, independently or as part of a team
- Oversees client application servers, networks, and development and testing environments
- Sets up, configures, and resolves issues with hosted application services
- Tracks system performance and conducts audits to maintain data accuracy and security
- Works with internal groups to define technical specifications and deliver business-aligned solutions
- Offers technical assistance and direction to users, addressing problems promptly
- Applies proven methods for automation, backups, disaster recovery, and system redundancy
- Keeps current with emerging trends in cloud computing and IT infrastructure management
