We’re looking for a Software Developer based in the Philippines to help build and maintain software that empowers organizations creating positive change. In this role, you’ll work closely with both US and local team members to design, implement, and debug features in a functional programming environment, ensuring high-quality, well-documented code.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and integrate features in our core application using Clojure and related technologies
- Investigate and resolve technical issues efficiently, supporting both internal teams and clients
- Participate in bi-weekly sprint planning and contribute to agile development cycles
- Conduct code reviews and help improve overall code quality and testing infrastructure
- Support deployment processes and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and other DevOps tools
- Collaborate on technical architecture and contribute to long-term product direction
- Assist in troubleshooting complex systems involving cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure and data stores such as Postgres and Elasticsearch
What We’re Looking For
- Based in the Philippines and available for a long-term, full-time role
- Graduate of a top-tier university (UP, Ateneo, DLSU, or UST) with a strong academic record, ideally with honors, in Computer Science or a related technical field
- Strong grasp of functional programming principles and experience with web development frameworks
- Proven ability to solve problems independently and adapt quickly in a fast-moving environment
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Highly organized with solid time management and a results-focused mindset
- Experience with cloud platforms, DevOps practices, and data analysis tools is a plus
Work Environment
This is a remote, work-from-home position with set working hours from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM and 8:00 PM to 12:30 AM (PHT), designed to align with US Eastern time collaboration needs. The schedule includes a long midday break to support work-life balance.
