Responsibilities
- Solve challenging business problems and build highly scalable applications
- Design, document and implement new systems in Scala 2.x/3.x
- Develop backend services and REST APIs using Scala, FS2, Akka, cats-effect
- Develop solutions using available tools and technologies and assist the engineering team in problem resolution by hands-on participation
- Effectively communicate status, issues, and risks in a precise and timely manner
- Write code as per product requirements and create new products
- Create automated tests, contribute in system testing, follow agile mode of development
- Interact with both business and technical stakeholders to deliver high quality products and services that meet business requirements and expectations while applying the latest available tools and technology
- Develop scalable real-time low-latency data egress/ingress solutions in an agile delivery method

Requirements
- 4-6 years of experience with hands-on experience working in Scala 2.x/3.x
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical field
- Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON
- Experience in delivering high value projects in Agile (SCRUM) methodology using preferably JIRA tool
- Good understanding of functional programming paradigms, Scala, FS2, Akka, cats-effect
- Experience with Applications Performance Tuning, Scaling, Security, Resiliency Best Practices
- Experience with Relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, Oracle), and core functional and functional programming patterns in Scala
- Experience with AWS stack, RDS, S3, Lambda, Redis, Docker, GitHub, SSDLC, Agile methodologies and development experience in a SCRUM environment
Nice to Have
- Experience with Selenium and Appium for web and mobile automation

About the role
