We are looking for a Software Engineer in Barcelona to build customer-facing products that enrich the lives of people and their pets. You will be a core contributor to our WordPress platform, solving technical challenges and delivering scalable solutions.
What You'll Do
- Build, test, and deploy high-quality, scalable, and supportable solutions across our technology stack, with a focus on our blog and web applications.
- Take ownership of features from initial concept to launch, working with loose requirements and collaborating closely with Product, Design, and Data Science.
- Champion core engineering practices, including automated testing, code quality, and technical design best practices.
- Thrive in a heavily collaborative environment by sharing knowledge, contributing ideas, and continuously improving your craft.
- Apply analytical thinking to solve problems and maintain meticulous focus on design and user experience to deliver the best service to customers.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience as a professional software developer.
- Experience building WordPress and web applications.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies and embrace new challenges.
- Used to working with different agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban/XP).
Nice to Have
- Experience with technologies similar to our tech stack, including WordPress, Headless WordPress, PHP, React, Typescript, and Nextjs.
- Familiarity with continuous integration/deployment tools.
