This is a full-stack software engineering role within the Space business area, contributing to the development of a command and control solution for the Seashells program. The position is contingent upon program award in winter 2026, with a projected start date in March 2026. Work will be conducted onsite in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania.
Responsibilities
- Design and document architectures based on microservices
- Apply expertise in open architecture, cloud computing design, and security principles
- Develop software using programming languages such as Java or C#
- Contribute to user interface and user experience design and implementation
- Integrate software components using machine-to-machine communication methods including RESTful APIs and ActiveMQ
- Collaborate within Agile teams using Scrum, Kanban, or similar methodologies
- Build, troubleshoot, and validate web applications and web services
- Implement test automation and practices for continuous integration and deployment
- Utilize containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Work with components of the ELK stack, including Elastic Search, Kibana, and Logstash
Requirements
- Proven experience in designing and documenting microservice-based system architectures
- Strong knowledge of open architecture concepts, cloud computing design, and security fundamentals
- Demonstrated skill in software development using Java or C#
- Experience in UI/UX development
- Ability to obtain TS/SCI security clearance
Nice to Have
- Experience integrating software components through machine-to-machine interfaces such as RESTful APIs or ActiveMQ
- Familiarity with test automation, continuous integration, and deployment pipelines
- Proven experience working in Agile environments using Scrum, Kanban, or related methodologies, or solid understanding of Agile concepts
- Strong presentation and communication abilities
- Experience working in cloud computing environments
- Proficiency with application containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
- Solid background in developing, debugging, and testing web applications and services
- Experience working with the ELK stack (Elastic Search, Kibana, Logstash)

Compensation
The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington, or Washington DC is $76,500 - $134,895. For states not listed, the salary range will be based on the candidate’s final work location. In major metropolitan areas of California, Massachusetts, and New York, the range is $88,000 - $152,490. This position is eligible for an incentive plan.
Work Arrangement
onsite — King of Prussia, Pennsylvania — 9x80 every other Friday off; Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules including condensed schedules that provide additional time away from the office
