The Software Engineer will contribute to mission-critical ground software solutions for government, defense, and aerospace sectors. Work includes designing microservice architectures, developing secure and scalable applications, and collaborating in Agile teams to support national security objectives.
Responsibilities
- Create advanced software features that deliver timely and actionable intelligence to executive decision makers
- Support internal research and development initiatives or ongoing program efforts
- Collaborate in a team-oriented environment prioritizing customer mission success
- Design and document software architectures based on microservices
- Build applications using Java or C# programming languages
- Participate in the development of user interfaces and user experience components
- Integrate system components through machine-to-machine communication interfaces
- Work within Agile teams using Scrum, Kanban, or similar development methodologies
Requirements
- Experience in designing and documenting microservice-based software architectures
- Strong presentation abilities
- In-depth knowledge of open architecture, cloud computing design, and cybersecurity principles
- Proven skill in software development with Java or C#
- UI/UX development experience
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Effective communication skills and ability to thrive in collaborative settings
- Must be a U.S. citizen to be considered for the role
- Eligibility to obtain a Top Secret security clearance
Nice to Have
- Experience working in cloud computing environments
- Familiarity with integrating software components via machine-to-machine interfaces such as RESTful APIs or ActiveMQ
- Proficiency in containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
- Background in test automation and continuous integration and deployment practices
- Solid experience in developing, debugging, or testing web applications and services
- Knowledge of Elastic Search, Kibana, and Logstash (ELK stack)
- Demonstrated experience in Agile teams using Scrum, Kanban, or understanding of Agile principles
- Ability to obtain TS/SCI security clearance

Compensation
Annual base salary range: $113,900 - $227,125 depending on location, with higher rates in major metropolitan areas. Position is eligible for incentive plan. Equity details not provided.
Work Arrangement
Onsite at King of Prussia, Pennsylvania or Littleton, Colorado. Part-time telecommuting permitted; full-time onsite work required. Work schedule follows a 9x80 pattern, providing every other Friday off.
