Zelisko is offering an Software Engineer internship where you will work closely with experienced engineers on a variety of development tasks. This role provides hands-on experience in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment under direct supervision.
What You'll Do
- Investigate software bug reports and change requests.
- Design, code, modify, debug, test and document software.
- Author technical documents (Design, Interface control, Functional, etc.).
- Provide task breakdown and effort estimates.
- Design, document, execute and record unit test results.
- Design, document, execute and record integration test results.
- Report issues including timely escalation.
- Use software configuration management (SCM) tools.
- Work under supervision of Systems Engineers, Project Managers, Customer Support, Test Engineers and Software Engineers.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management.
What We're Looking For
- Scripting skills (e.g., Python) and proficiency in C/C++.
- Experience with debugging.
- Familiarity with software requirements and design.
- Experience with UNIX/Linux, QNX, Windows operating systems.
- Familiarity with Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD).
- Proficiency with the MS Office suite.
- A degree in Computer Engineering or Software Engineering with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
