About the Role
The engineer will develop robust backend services and APIs to support real-time trading features, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure system reliability under high-volume transaction loads.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable backend services for trading functionality
- Collaborate with product and data teams to define technical requirements
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
- Optimize system performance and response times under heavy load
- Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly
- Support deployment pipelines and continuous integration workflows
- Ensure code quality through automated testing practices
- Maintain documentation for systems and processes
- Work with monitoring tools to proactively identify system issues
- Integrate with third-party data providers and APIs
- Contribute to architectural decisions for new features
- Follow security best practices in application development
- Assist in capacity planning and system scalability efforts
- Stay current with emerging technologies relevant to trading platforms
Nice to Have
- Experience in sports betting or gaming industry
- Contributions to open-source software projects
- Familiarity with real-time data processing systems
- Knowledge of low-latency system design
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI
