F5 is looking for a Software Engineer III, Data Platform to join a revolutionary team building core data systems, analytics, telemetry, and AI/Generative AI powered services at scale. You will be part of the growing field of multi-cloud SaaS, Security and Multi Cloud Networking solutions, designing and developing data systems and services across hybrid cloud for F5's SaaS products.

What You'll Do

Build F5 Distributed Cloud data system and innovate in next Gen data and analytics platform.
Accelerate the deployment, automation and operations of the data platform across on Prem and Cloud.
Implement observability strategies and performance monitoring of system.
Design/develop/enhance data, analytics, AI/Gen AI powered service on SaaS platform.
Design/develop/enhance telemetry and metrics pipeline and services.
Work closely with product, marketing, operation, platform, and customer support team to create innovative solution for Cloud product delivery.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent professional experience (5+ years).
Proficiency in Cloud native development and programming languages such as GO, Java, Python.
Extensive hands-on experience in data platform and SaaS products.
Proficiency in data/ stream processing (e.g., Kafka, Pubsub, Dataflow, Vector, Spark, Flink), database and data warehouse (e.g., ClickHouse, StarRocks, Elasticsearch, Big Query), analytics and AI platform (e.g. Databricks, Snowflake).
Proficiency in deployment and automation of data system, analytics pipeline across on Prem and Cloud.
Experience with logs, metrics, telemetry, Prometheus, Open Telemetry.
Experience with data system observability, monitoring, alerting, quality and performance.
Experience in SaaS multi-tenancy, onboarding, metering & billing, monitoring & alerting.
Experience with container and orchestration technologies, Kubernetes and Microservice.
Experience with automation and cloud Infra, tooling, workload, modern CI/CD.
Exposure to AI, agentic, and generative AI techniques used to support platform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and operational efficiency.
Strong analytical, and end to end debugging skills in data system and pipeline with extensive knowledge from network, Infra technologies.
