Responsibilities

  • Develop high-quality code for moderately complex scenarios with thorough test coverage.
  • Analyze and convert product requirements into resilient designs that produce modular, configurable, reusable, fast, effective, user-friendly, secure, compliant, scalable, and maintainable applications.
  • Provide support for application system issues as needed.
  • Engage in design and code reviews to enforce best practices, Mercury standards, and high quality.
  • Mentor and offer technical direction to fellow engineers, promoting a culture of innovation and excellence within the engineering team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in at least one industry-standard programming language such as Java, Python, Go, C++, or JavaScript.
  • Skilled in using various data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
  • Familiar with relational databases, NoSQL databases, and caching solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Able to work independently on straightforward tasks.
  • Capable of collaborating with and influencing team members to resolve obstacles and achieve desired outcomes.

Nice to Have

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
