Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support scalable backend services and APIs for secure identity document processing, ensuring high reliability and performance under large-scale workloads.
- Work closely with Product, Data Science/Machine Learning, and Infrastructure teams to implement new document verification features by translating business needs and model outputs into efficient backend solutions in an agile setting.
- Promote strong engineering practices by advancing code quality, testing coverage, performance tuning, security standards, and CI/CD processes for document verification backend systems.
- Lead backend architectural decisions, advocating for sound API design, microservices patterns, and secure data handling to ensure scalability, resilience, and integration consistency.
- Monitor and analyze production metrics and usage patterns to identify performance bottlenecks and lead improvements in system responsiveness, scalability, and uptime.
- Partner with data scientists to incorporate machine learning and computer vision models into the document verification pipeline, ensuring accurate deployment and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with frontend and mobile engineering teams to define clear API interfaces, enable seamless user experiences, and assist with integration issue resolution.
