About the Role
The engineer will develop and improve both frontend and backend systems, contribute to API design, implement testing strategies, and support deployment pipelines within a secure and regulated environment.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain responsive user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks
- Design and optimize backend services and RESTful APIs
- Collaborate with product teams to define technical requirements
- Write clean, testable, and well-documented code
- Troubleshoot and debug production issues promptly
- Participate in code reviews and technical planning sessions
- Ensure application security and compliance with data regulations
- Improve system reliability and performance under load
- Integrate third-party services and financial data providers
- Support continuous integration and deployment workflows
- Monitor application health and respond to alerts
- Contribute to database schema design and query optimization
- Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms
- Work with containerized environments and cloud infrastructure
- Document technical decisions and system architecture
- Stay current with evolving web technologies and best practices
- Assist in defining engineering standards and tooling
- Scale systems to handle increasing transaction volumes
- Collaborate on incident response and post-mortem analysis
- Enhance frontend accessibility and internationalization
- Evaluate and adopt new frameworks when beneficial
- Support onboarding for new engineering team members
- Maintain high availability for critical services
- Contribute to internal developer tooling
- Balance technical debt with feature development
