CrowdStrike seeks a Software Engineer - Cloud, Data Platform to join the Data Engineering team. In this role, you will contribute to the full spectrum of systems creating a hyper-scale data lake, from foundational storage to pipelines and frameworks that serve analytics and threat hunting.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain a data platform that processes petabytes of data.
- Participate in technical reviews and help develop new features while enhancing system stability.
- Improve service efficiency to delight customers.
- Research and implement new ways for stakeholders to query data efficiently and extract results in desired formats.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience building products and processing data at scale.
- Solid understanding of algorithms, distributed systems design, and the software development lifecycle.
- Strong background in Java/Scala and a scripting language like Python.
- Experience building large-scale data pipelines.
- Strong familiarity with the Apache Hadoop ecosystem including Spark, Kafka, Hive, and Apache Presto.
- Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including Postgres/MySQL, Cassandra, and DynamoDB.
- Good test-driven development discipline.
- Reasonable proficiency with Linux administration tools.
- Proven ability to work effectively with remote teams.
