We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our team. You will own technical management and improvements of existing products while leading greenfield R&D, spearheading the full-stack development of high-throughput vision systems.
What You'll Do
- Lead greenfield R&D, building and deploying real-time computer vision systems.
- Build a lab-scale vision system at our HQ in Worcester, MA (in-person as needed).
- Design and implement high-throughput data pipelines from edge devices to cloud infrastructure.
- Implement on-device signal processing and data pre-processing.
- Build observability infrastructure to track system health, throughput, and performance metrics.
- Improve existing material sampling hardware deployed at customer recycling facilities.
- Improve and build systems that reliably interface with hardware.
- Remotely manage firmware and improve remote update & manage processes.
- Remotely connect to hardware deployed in the field.
- Read datasheets, write drivers, and control hardware through software.
- Develop and enhance our web products.
- Write infrastructure-as-code (IAC) and work with Pulumi.
- Contribute to backend services (.NET, C#) that process & serve data from deployed hardware.
- Collaborate with the broader dev team on full-stack features, from edge devices to web UI.
- Work with cloud infrastructure (AWS).
- Occasionally travel to customers' facilities for deployments, upgrades, and maintenance within the continental US.
