Responsibilities
- Design and enhance the core orchestration engine that oversees the lifecycle of creating, merging, and rebasing Supabase Branches
- Provision temporary sandboxed execution environments on EKS or ECS to run untrusted build workloads from connected git repositories, with securely managed secrets
- Implement job scheduling that scales to handle thousands of concurrent builds
- Optimize and reduce pipeline runtimes through caching, artifact storage, and dependency reuse
- Manage retry, timeout, cancellation, and failure-propagation logic to ensure pipelines behave predictably under failure conditions
- Instrument the full pipeline lifecycle with observability tooling to surface traces, metrics, and structured logs to end users
- Develop configuration files in JSON or TOML and integrations with Terraform or Pulumi that allow teams to easily define, trigger, and inspect pipelines in code
Requirements
- Strong software engineering skills with proficiency in Go and TypeScript
- At least 3 years of experience building and operating cloud infrastructure or distributed systems at scale
- Familiarity with AWS constructs is required
- Production operations mindset with a track record of building reliable, observable, and maintainable systems
- Ownership mindset with the ability to operate independently with high-level guidance
- Clear communication across both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience working in async or globally distributed teams
- Energized by solving real-world problems for developers
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and moving quickly
Nice to Have
- Past experience using AWS SDKs and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Pulumi or Terraform to build and operate infrastructure is strongly preferred
