Societe Generale is hiring a Software Engineer - Automation in Bangalore. In this role, you will be responsible for owning, developing, supporting, and maintaining development tools and solutions with a strong emphasis on automation, solution design, and technology leadership.
What You'll Do
- Own, develop, support, and maintain development tools and solutions delivered.
- Identify and drive new ways of development and automations.
- Review requirements and discuss implementation plans.
- Work on technical roadblocks and guide the team on new ways of implementation.
- Inspire, lead, and manage developers and their deliverable roadmaps.
- Manage and deliver automation backlogs in an agile environment.
- Identify digitalization opportunities via multiple sources like study ITSM data, custom delivery management tools, workshops with SMEs and team leads, and service delivery metrics.
- Use various data analysis techniques to identify opportunities, diagnose problems, report, and present value delivery as per agreed service values.
- Collaborate with other development teams across DWS as well as GTS for reuse of solutions to deliver UCS digitization targets.
- Identify, implement, and train developers in the latest analytics, development, and automation technologies.
- Maintain skills of individual developers and ensure the team is given different opportunities to scale up.
- Capability to perform Scrum Master and Product Owner roles.
What We're Looking For
- 6+ years of overall software development experience.
- Expert in C# .NET application and various development frameworks in Visual Studio like console, Web app (aspx pages), API, MVC, and WCF.
- Expert in DevOps tools like GitHub, Jenkins, SonarQube, Nunit, Selenium, PowerShell.
- Good understanding in UI design and development frameworks using HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Bootstrap, AJAX.
- Working knowledge of SQL and RDBMS (SQL & T-SQL).
- Experience in using Fiddler, Postman, Swagger for API testing.
- Software development skills on Parallel Programming, Data Modelling, Data Analytics and Visualization, Coding/Development Standards, Microservices, API, and Self-Healing.
- Proven experience in technology leadership and solution design.
- Excellent requirement management and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with Agile methodologies.
- Automation testing experience.
Nice to Have
- Experience or knowledge with Power BI.
