Applied Intuition is seeking a Software Engineer to design and build active safety functionalities for autonomous vehicle systems. The engineer will work on features like Automatic Emergency Braking and Lane Keep Assist, leveraging simulation and real-world data to improve performance and contribute to customer-facing solutions in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
- Build & own active safety functionalities, like Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist, Intelligent Speed Assist and more
- Make fast and structured progress using our own simulation and data tooling, tracking and improving KPI over a vast set of virtual tests as well as a very large real world data set
- Test your functions hands on in our test vehicles on test track and public road
- Work closely with our simulation and data tooling experts, expediting function development using our proficient tooling even more
- Work closely with your team members focusing on parking and L2++, to share common components, tooling and data processes
- Have direct customer contacts and exposure

What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of experience shipping software for driver assistance and automated driving
- Proficiency in writing C++ and Python software
- Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter and can quickly become comfortable with new technical concepts and tools
- Experience shipping your ADAS/ AD software and solutions into series production vehicles, including required work on requirements, structured testing and implementing SW at automotive series quality
- Proven ability to take initiative in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have
- Series project experience with Active Safety functions like AEB, LKA, etc
- Experience with world-wide regulation and standards relevant for driver assistance
- Experience working hands-on on prototype vehicles
- Experience working with simulation tools
- Previous experience working in a high-paced environment

Work Mode
Onsite. Locations: Sunnyvale, California; Washington, D.C.; San Diego; Ft. Walton Beach, Florida; Ann Arbor, Michigan; London; Stuttgart; Munich; Stockholm; Bangalore; Seoul; Tokyo. Employees are expected to work from the office 5 days a week, but occasional remote work is permitted. Flexibility includes starting the day with morning meetings from home before heading to the office or leaving earlier when needed to accommodate family commitments.
