Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is mandatory for this position.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Eligibility to acquire a Secret security clearance is required.
- Minimum of four years of professional experience in software engineering or related roles.
- Proven experience using GitLab and at least one build automation tool.
- Demonstrated background in writing unit and functional tests.
- Understanding of core security concepts such as least privilege, authentication, authorization, confidentiality, and data integrity.
Nice to Have
- Experience managing virtual machine workloads in Kubernetes using KubeVirt.
- Proficiency with Ansible; Python knowledge is beneficial but not required.
- Background deploying applications on bare-metal or specialized server hardware outside standard cloud or data center setups.
- Exposure to cybersecurity monitoring tools like Splunk or Security Onion.
- Work history in Federal or Department of Defense settings, including adherence to STIGs and system hardening.
- Hands-on Linux administration across multiple distributions, covering networking, storage, and services.
- Familiarity with JIRA, GitHub, and Agile development methodologies.
- Strong communication skills for explaining technical topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Knowledge of software packaging systems and Risk Management Framework (RMF) procedures.
