Captivation Software is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join a mission-critical project. You will be responsible for developing, sustaining, and troubleshooting the project's software suite of applications, and potentially future capabilities as mission needs evolve. Your work will directly support our mission to protect our country, building solutions we are proud of.
What You'll Do
- Develop, sustain, and troubleshoot the project's software suite of applications.
- Implement, test, and integrate software with other COTS, GOTS, and FOSS products, packages, and libraries.
What We're Looking For
- Active Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph is required.
- All candidates must be a U.S. citizen.
- Master's degree in Computer Science or related field plus 5 years of relevant SWE experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field plus 7 years of relevant SWE experience.
- Alternatively, 9 years of relevant SWE experience without a degree.
- Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux tools.
- Experience developing scripts using Bash.
- Recent Python (3.x) software development experience.
- Experience with Rust programming concepts, or a willingness and aptitude to learn Rust.
- Experience with NoSQL databases including MongoDB.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.
- Experience with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes.
- Experience creating Helm Charts to deploy containerized services on Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Messaging Frameworks including RabbitMQ.
- Familiarity with CI/CD principles and tools including GitLab CI.
- Familiarity with IaC principles and tools such as Ansible.
- Experience with Git Source Control System.
Nice to Have
- Experience with SQL databases including PostgreSQL.
- Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite including Jira and Confluence.

Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation range: $130,000 - $270,000 (Depends on the Years of Experience).
