Responsibilities
- Create and implement software enhancements for simulation and training platforms using C++ and AFSIM.
- Maintain and support legacy software components built in Java.
- Design and integrate new simulation entities and expand development frameworks to accommodate advanced behaviors.
- Conduct technical analysis and provide support across the software lifecycle, including troubleshooting, design, development, testing, deployment, and user assistance.
- Update, troubleshoot, and configure software systems as needed.
- Support activities involving system design, programming, performance testing, debugging, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with technical teams to resolve system issues and enhance overall performance.
- Build, test, and deploy automation tools to streamline operational processes.
- Engage in multiple stages of software development with appropriate supervision.
Work Arrangement
On-site — Colorado Springs, CO
CLEARANCE REQUIRMENT
Must hold or be eligible to obtain a Secret DOD security clearance.
DOD 8570 REQUIREMENT
No DOD 8570 certification required for this position.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- The role requires prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer.
- Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate computers and office equipment.
- Regular communication via in-person interaction, phone, or electronic channels.
