Responsibilities
- Collaborates with the Test Automation Architect to assess current automation frameworks and develop end-to-end regression testing solutions.
- Creates, runs, and sustains automated test scripts to support release timelines, project goals, and quality standards.
- Reduces reliance on manual testing by targeting high-value test cases for automation.
- Engages as a key member of an Agile team, working alongside developers, testers, and product stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
- Ensures sprint deliverables are thoroughly validated with maximum use of automated testing methods.
- Builds and maintains automated test suites covering smoke, functional, regression, and integration tests for front-end interfaces, APIs, and database systems.
- Tracks, documents, and oversees reported software defects and their resolution status.
- Proposes improvements to testing strategies and procedural workflows to enhance test coverage and efficiency.
- Keeps detailed records of test outcomes and produces trend analyses based on historical testing data.
- Guides and supports manual QA team members during the transition and expansion of test automation initiatives.
- Applies industry-standard automation practices and coding guidelines to ensure robust and maintainable test code.
- Provides after-hours and weekend support when necessary, especially around software release cycles.
