Bose Corporation is hiring a Software Developer & Integration Lead

About the Role

Bose Corporation is hiring a Software Developer & Integration Lead to drive technical execution for assigned platform software initiatives. You will ensure the timely, high-quality delivery of licensable audio technology solutions, combining hands-on technical work with technical coordination from concept through integration, validation, and partner enablement.

What You'll Do

  • Drive technical execution for assigned platform software initiatives, from requirements definition through integration and validation.
  • Develop and maintain platform software on real-time systems using C/C++, working across embedded and RTOS-based environments.
  • Learn and integrate multiple SDKs from different SoC partners to deliver robust, production-ready software.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Bose’s audio modeling framework and how audio algorithms are integrated, tested, and packaged.
  • Support internal and external partners in the integration, deployment, and validation of Bose audio technologies.
  • Participate in cross-functional program discussions to represent software and audio technology interests, track risks and dependencies.
  • Define integration strategies, contribute to dependency tracking, and help build reusable, scalable software components.
  • Contribute to software infrastructure, including unit testing, automated test frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Work closely with systems, QA, security, and licensing teams to ensure comprehensive coverage, compliance, and readiness.
  • Validate latency-sensitive audio systems, analyze real-time behavior, and optimize performance.
  • Maintain detailed technical notes, architectural documentation, integration matrices, and progress reports.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong proficiency in C/C++ and platform, embedded, or RTOS-based software development.
  • Experience developing software for real-time or near–real-time systems, including scheduling, synchronization, latency, and performance constraints.
  • Experience with audio technologies, including DSP integration, low-latency audio pipelines, or room correction algorithms.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to SDKs and platforms from multiple SoC partners.
  • Experience using JIRA or similar tools for execution tracking, issue management, and cross-team coordination.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD principles and tools (e.g., Jenkins), including build automation and continuous integration workflows.
  • Experience writing and maintaining unit tests and contributing to automated test frameworks.
  • Demonstrated understanding of product delivery lifecycles, including integration, validation, and release readiness.
  • Solid experience with system integration, debugging, and performance optimization across complex software stacks.
  • Familiarity with middleware frameworks, IPC mechanisms, and hardware–software interaction.
  • Highly collaborative, with strong communication skills and the ability to support external partners.
  • Comfortable working with minimal direction, taking initiative, and making sound technical decisions in an evolving organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years of professional software development experience, with demonstrated ownership of complex technical projects and cross-team integration efforts.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with DSP and firmware development on platforms such as BES, Qualcomm, or AMLogic, and/or Android audio frameworks.
  • Experience building or scaling shared platform software used across multiple products or partners.
  • Prior experience in small teams, early-stage organizations, or start-up–like engineering environments.
  • Experience in consumer electronics or OEM/ODM collaboration.
