Prematch is hiring a Software Developer in Test to build the QA infrastructure and systems that help engineers move quickly without sacrificing quality. In this deeply technical, hands-on role, you'll write code most days to build systems that unlock leverage and ensure coverage of what matters.
What You'll Do
- Write and maintain end-to-end tests.
- Contribute to test infrastructure.
- Work closely with engineers to build fast, confident feedback loops.
- Build test frameworks and debug or simplify existing systems.
- Extend test setups to make them faster.
- Debug flaky tests that slow the team down.
- Help out with manual testing when needed.
- Build systems that unlock leverage and ensure coverage of what matters.
- Turn the company's vision into tooling and workflows the team actually uses.
What We're Looking For
- Have written and maintained test automation frameworks from scratch.
- Know what makes a test helpful, flaky, or someone else’s problem.
- Think like a user and know how to spot edge cases.
- Enjoy working on test infrastructure that supports engineers and removes friction.
- Get excited about shipping less brittle tests faster.
- Don't need to be told what 'done' looks like; can scope, build, test, and maintain your own tools and systems.
