Clover Health is hiring a Software Developer - Engineering Productivity

Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation and adoption of internal quality initiatives by guiding engineering teams through process improvements and reliability standards, using a product-focused approach to shape and promote a unified reliability strategy.
  • Develop observability solutions for the software development lifecycle by integrating data from tools like GitHub, Linear, GCP, Sentry, Grafana, and incident.io to build self-serve dashboards that track delivery performance and workflow inefficiencies.
  • Establish and automate key reliability metrics such as Change Failure Rate, Deployment Frequency, Lead Time for Changes, Time to Restore, Regression Rate, Release Failure Rate, PR-failure rate, and code review depth to create measurable benchmarks for system stability.
  • Design and implement automated quality gates in the CI/CD pipeline for performance, security, and accessibility, working closely with core engineering teams to enforce best practices at the pull request level.
  • Implement realistic load and performance testing early in the development cycle for each customer onboarding, using tools like k6, Locust, Gatling, or JMeter to validate system behavior under real-world conditions.
  • Develop infrastructure for synthetic data generation and production canaries to enable high-volume testing while ensuring test data is fully segregated from live user data.
  • Integrate generative AI tools such as Gemini, Claude, Cursor, and Codex into development workflows to accelerate testing framework development, automate infrastructure code, and design sophisticated test architectures.
  • Lead efforts to consolidate testing tools by migrating from outdated, costly systems to a modern, unified automation platform enhanced by AI, reducing vendor sprawl and improving efficiency.
  • Support the evolution and documentation of development standards that balance rapid iteration with high-quality output, including test coverage and clear technical documentation.
