Responsibilities
- Define the long-term technical vision and architectural roadmap for software systems
- Mentor experienced engineers and promote adherence to engineering best practices
- Work with AI-powered coding assistants by reviewing, testing, and improving generated code while setting standards and safety protocols
- Own full lifecycle system design including requirement analysis, data models, API contracts, and deployment architecture
- Partner with engineering and product leadership to assess roadmap viability, estimate effort, and evaluate technical risks
- Develop and sustain high-efficiency microservices in Go for both cloud and on-premises deployments
- Create and enhance RESTful APIs that support large-scale enterprise usage
- Implement and manage certificate-based mutual TLS to secure communications between services and clients
- Integrate secure development practices to mitigate OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities throughout the development lifecycle
- Enable observability through structured logging, distributed tracing, and metrics using Open Telemetry, New Relic, and OpenSearch
- Support both cloud-native (AWS/Kubernetes) and on-prem environments with consistent functionality and security
