Responsibilities
- Lead the initialization and setup of software and platforms for radar systems, associated support equipment, and test racks.
- Verify full system configuration spanning BIOS, storage, Linux services, networking, time synchronization, container environments, and deployment tools.
- Diagnose and determine root causes of integration issues related to system settings, OS configuration, services, permissions, network connectivity, routing, switch setup, and software deployment.
- Troubleshoot problems such as misconfigured BIOS, RAID errors, Linux service failures, Docker permission or context issues, Azure CLI setup difficulties, and broken deployment pipelines.
- Manage and validate Linux timing and synchronization services like chrony, linuxptp, and timemaster, including their system dependencies.
- Support the deployment and verification of software configuration stacks, including code-as-configuration workflows using Jsonnet-based builds.
- Configure and resolve issues in Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking for lab and test environments, including VLANs, routing, firewall rules, and managed switches.
- Set up and maintain new test racks and system test environments, including computing systems, networking gear, timing hardware, and supporting infrastructure.
- Create scripts, utilities, checklists, and automated validation processes to detect configuration errors before formal testing.
- Collaborate with systems, software, firmware, RF, and hardware engineers to identify cross-domain faults and resolve them efficiently.
- Assist in designing, implementing, and running automated test workflows for radar and RF system validation.
- Build and maintain automated UI and end-to-end tests for on-device web interfaces using browser-driven frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress to verify correct rendering, control behavior, and backend data flow.
- Develop and document repeatable integration procedures, debugging guides, and test instructions for consistent use by technicians and engineers.
- Support lab and field test operations to ensure radar systems are properly configured and ready for data collection.
- Work 4 to 5 days per week on-site at the Los Angeles (Hawthorne), California office.
