Responsibilities
- Perform forensic examination tasks on Scene of Crime submissions, ensuring all work is completed accurately, on time, and with high volume capacity.
- Follow customer-specific operational guidelines, Good Laboratory Practice, and internal quality standards to ensure full compliance.
- Conduct analyses and testing strictly according to approved Standard Operating Procedures, meeting deadlines without compromising precision.
- Preserve the chain of custody by managing evidence securely, tracking it accurately, and ensuring proper storage and return.
- Support efficient lab operations by maintaining organized workspaces and contributing to smooth workflow management.
- Report on examination progress regularly to the Production Supervisor and flag any issues affecting delivery or quality.
- Provide updates on non-case-related assignments to supervisors to aid in operational planning and oversight.
- Contribute to science and quality initiatives within personal expertise to support laboratory excellence and continuous improvement.
- Ensure accurate and timely logging of daily work hours in the designated system to reflect all activities performed.
- Identify and suggest process or method enhancements during team discussions to improve quality and efficiency.
- Support the proper return of customer materials, ensuring compliance with all procedural and custody requirements.
