Responsibilities
- Manage daily production operations, including on-call duties, incident management, post-incident reviews, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Lead the development and evolution of reliability standards by defining service level indicators and objectives, and guiding teams to adhere to error budgets.
- Enhance system observability by improving metrics collection, log management, distributed tracing, and alerting mechanisms.
- Deploy and manage infrastructure using code-driven workflows, supporting cloud resources and Kubernetes-based workloads through GitOps practices.
- Maintain and optimize PostgreSQL systems, including performance tuning, schema design, migration oversight, high availability, disaster recovery, and change data capture pipelines.
- Support engineering teams through mentorship in reliability principles and database fundamentals via code and design reviews, as well as collaborative sessions.
