Responsibilities
- Collaborate with DevOps and database administration specialists to support system operations
- Enhance current infrastructure and operational workflows across active regions, while preparing scalable processes for expansion into new markets
- Advance the reliability and efficiency of the Kubernetes platform by optimizing resource usage, cutting expenses, and enabling seamless environment setup using GitOps as the primary methodology
- Oversee cloud systems through automated scaling, real-time alerting systems, and comprehensive Grafana dashboards that track metrics, logs, traces, and user experience data
- Serve as primary on-call responder during weekdays, handling production issues, conducting root cause investigations, and leading post-incident reviews
- Develop and refine alerting systems to ensure high-quality, meaningful notifications while avoiding alert overload, cascading failures, and excessive messaging
- Establish and manage service level indicators and objectives for key services to guide reliability initiatives and prioritize incident response
- Assume full accountability for cloud operations and related activities
- Coordinate with third-party security organizations for yearly audits and conduct internal security assessments
- Support architectural changes to enable fast and efficient deployment into new geographic regions
- Guide and support junior team members through coaching and knowledge sharing
