Responsibilities
- Conduct electrical testing of high-speed interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet at 10G/25G/100G/400G speeds, DDR4/DDR5 memory, SATA, and USB3.
- Validate signaling performance for low-speed and control interfaces including I2C, SPI, MDIO, eMMC, GMII/RGMII, and associated management buses.
- Carry out signal quality assessments using oscilloscopes, bit error rate testers, network analyzers, and other signal analysis instruments.
- Evaluate and interpret electrical specifications from IC manufacturers, interface standards, and internal design rules, including voltage, timing, jitter, eye diagrams, and compliance criteria.
- Design and execute validation plans for power systems, including multiphase regulators, DC/DC buck converters, PSU rails, and board-level power distribution.
- Perform power integrity testing involving ripple measurement, transient response analysis, power sequencing checks, electronic load testing, and PSU performance evaluation.
- Analyze signal and power integrity data to determine root causes of issues and provide actionable feedback to hardware, layout, firmware, and vendor teams.
- Collaborate with hardware and PCB layout teams to define signal and power integrity validation strategies, test coverage, acceptable limits, and measurement techniques.
- Produce detailed validation reports to support development milestones, issue tracking, design reviews, and second-source component qualification.
- Create and run basic Linux-based test scripts to enable automated validation tasks and efficient data collection.
- Support troubleshooting when signal or power performance fails to meet requirements and verify fixes after design corrections.
