Responsibilities
- Develop full-stack features using Rust for backend services and React for frontend interfaces
- Create secure API endpoints and design intuitive user interfaces and interaction flows
- Partner with product and design teams to convert business needs into technical plans
- Maintain high code quality through comprehensive automated testing on both frontend and backend
- Optimize application performance on client and server components
- Coordinate with DevOps and SRE teams on deployment strategies, logging, and monitoring setups
- Engage in architectural discussions around design patterns and engineering standards
- Construct and manage CI/CD pipelines for efficient software delivery
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure-as-Code tools, with a preference for Terraform
- Manage and maintain Kubernetes clusters in production environments
- Support deployments across multiple cloud providers and geographic regions
- Collaborate with backend and SRE engineers to enhance system dependability
- Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for proactive issue detection
- Strengthen platform security and assist in maintaining compliance requirements
- Ensure production systems are reliable, scalable, and performant
- Define and track service level objectives and error budget policies
- Implement comprehensive observability using metrics, distributed tracing, and structured logs
- Develop automated solutions for detecting and resolving incidents
- Lead root cause investigations and post-incident reviews
- Collaborate with development and operations teams on resilience and fault tolerance
- Participate in an equitable, compensated on-call schedule
