Responsibilities
- Lead technical execution for CMDB Stabilization & Governance, the primary workstream.
- Conduct a full assessment of CMDB data quality and establish a baseline for CI classes and relationships.
- Correct, reconcile, and align critical CI classes with HAM/SAM data sources to support ITSM processes.
- Reconstruct and validate service models for key business and IT services using CSDM standards.
- Integrate CIs with ITSM workflows and define a governance framework for the CMDB.
- Oversee the re-deployment of SAM Pro as part of the ITAM workstream.
- Evaluate the previous failed SAM Pro rollout, including architecture, dependencies, and deployment flaws.
- Develop a phased SAM implementation plan aligned with stakeholder priorities and CMDB integration needs.
- Implement SAM governance and standardize software and publisher data in alignment with the CMDB.
- Support improvements in ITSM process automation and operational efficiency.
- Review and enhance incident management processes, including routing, SLAs, and escalation procedures.
- Enable integration between Incident, Problem, and Change Management and assess Integration Hub usage.
- Identify and prioritize automation opportunities and recommend efficiency improvements.
- Assist in establishing platform governance, including dashboards, role assignments, and OKR tracking.
- Define and enforce ServiceNow development standards and build complex components such as business rules and scripts.
- Synchronize CMDB data with HAM/SAM and other authoritative sources to ensure ongoing accuracy.
- Collaborate with consultants and client platform owners on process and technical governance alignment.
- Engage in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning and contribute to technical documentation regularly.
- Conduct code and design reviews, promote best practices, and mentor junior developers.
- Support system upgrades, patching, performance tuning, and resolve production issues promptly.
- Work within a secure federal environment with restricted access and follow strict reporting protocols.
- Complete weekly time reporting as required by contract obligations.
