Sopra Steria is hiring a Senior Windows Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Windows Engineer to join Sopra Steria Polska for a team that cooperates with one of our Norwegian clients. Note that we can only offer cooperation to people are located in Silesian area and are willing to commute to our office in Katowice. Responsibilities:​ • Design, implement, and maintain Windows Server environments following best practices, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability. • Administer and troubleshoot core Windows services (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO), resolving complex issues through root cause analysis. • Provide 2nd and 3rd line support within ITIL processes, including incident, problem, and change management. • Execute patching, upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle management while maintaining system stability and compliance. • Monitor, optimize, and secure infrastructure using enterprise tools, ensuring performance, capacity planning, and adherence to security standards. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and automate operational tasks using scripting and IaC tools to improve efficiency and reliability. Tech stack on the project:​ • Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) • Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO • VMware, Hyper-V • PowerShell (automation, scripting) • Monitoring & logging: SCOM, Azure Monitor, Event Viewer, Sysmon, SIEM • Backup solutions: Commvault, Windows Server Backup • Security: Windows Firewall, GPO security baselines, PKI / Certificate Services
