iHerb is hiring a Senior Vendor Manager

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior merchandising leadership and global teams to align on strategic business goals, priorities, and category direction.
  • Work with regional leaders to develop and sustain a market-relevant product assortment.
  • Oversee key performance indicators for both new and established brands, covering pricing, gross margin, product mix, promotions, and full lifecycle management, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Navigate Europe-specific regulatory, compliance, and supply chain requirements to ensure compliant procurement practices.
  • Coordinate with Compliance and Regulatory teams to manage product catalog submissions, documentation, and regional approvals.
  • Source products directly from manufacturers or authorized distributors in line with company policies and regional sourcing guidelines.
  • Negotiate favorable commercial terms, including base pricing, marketing funding, rebates, accruals, delivery timelines, and volume commitments.
  • Cultivate strong vendor partnerships to drive innovation, improve margins, and maintain clear communication on capabilities and expectations.
  • Manage vendor contracts, product assessments, and issue resolution in partnership with cross-functional teams.
  • Lead the onboarding of new products and brands to ensure accurate and timely integration into the European product lineup.
  • Remain available for occasional meetings scheduled in the US Pacific time zone.
  • Monitor pricing, cost changes, and system updates to protect markup levels and margin performance.
  • Align with Inventory Management and Planning teams on demand forecasts, inventory turnover, vendor performance, and ordering cycles.
  • Partner with Marketing to design profitable and effective co-promotional campaigns.
  • Leverage category analytics and reporting to uncover opportunities, inform decisions, and support sustainable business growth.
  • Comply with company standards related to safety, business ethics, and professional conduct.
  • Mentor and support Assistant Buyers by providing guidance and tools to enhance their performance and development.
