Wikimedia Foundation is hiring a Senior UX Researcher (3 Month Contract)

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute user research studies to understand user needs and behaviors.
  • Analyze and interpret research data to derive actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate research findings into product development.
  • Create and maintain research documentation, including reports and presentations.
  • Conduct usability testing and gather user feedback to inform design decisions.
  • Develop and implement research methodologies to evaluate the effectiveness of digital products.
  • Work with designers and developers to ensure research insights are incorporated into the design process.
  • Provide recommendations for improving user interfaces and overall user experience.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in user experience research.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to share research findings and gather input from stakeholders.
  • Create user personas and journey maps to guide design and development efforts.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to identify opportunities for improvement in user experience.
  • Design and implement user surveys to collect quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Work with data analysts to analyze user behavior and identify trends.
  • Develop and maintain a research repository to store and organize research findings.
  • Collaborate with content strategists to ensure research insights are reflected in content creation.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior researchers and team members.
  • Participate in project planning and prioritization to ensure research aligns with project goals.
  • Conduct heuristic evaluations to assess the usability and accessibility of digital products.
  • Work with product managers to define research objectives and key performance indicators.
  • Create and maintain a research roadmap to guide future research efforts.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure research activities comply with regulations.
