What We're Looking For:
We need a Senior Technical UI Designer who can bridge the worlds of UI art and in-game functionality. This isn't just about making things look pretty — it's about crafting interactive experiences that feel seamless and intuitive, translating complex design concepts into shippable, player-friendly interfaces.
Requirements
What You Will Do:
- Build and implement UI elements, menus, widgets, and HUDs directly in Unreal Engine 5, ensuring they're not just functional, but genuinely delightful to use.
- Prototype and iterate on UI interactions, constantly refining the user experience to make every in-game interaction feel smooth and responsive.
- Collaborate closely with engineers to intelligently connect UI elements to game systems, creating a truly integrated player experience.
- Evaluate and improve UI workflows by suggesting and prototyping innovative tools and pipeline enhancements.
- Work hand-in-hand with UI/UX designers, game designers, and engineers to design, test, and perfect UI systems from concept to implementation.
- Craft UI animations and motion design that provide polished, meaningful feedback and enhance player engagement.
- Coordinate with both in-house and outsourced artists to bring UI designs from initial concept to final, playable reality.
What You Will Bring:
- Deep expertise in UI implementation within Unreal Engine 5, including Blueprint scripting and comprehensive understanding of UI systems like UMG.
- Proven ability to transform static UI concepts into interactive, high-performance, and shippable assets.
- Strong track record of prototyping and refining UI interactions with a laser focus on fluidity, clarity, and user feedback.
- Sophisticated skills in UI animation and motion design that elevate user engagement and usability.
- Sharp problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying innovative solutions
- A collaborative mindset that embraces feedback and sees iteration as an opportunity for improvement
- Advanced proficiency in design tools like Adobe Creative Suite or Figma, with a particular talent for translating designs into game engine environments.
