Responsibilities
- Develop geometric designs for highways, freeways, and local streets in accordance with national and local regulations
- Create conceptual layouts and initial roadway designs
- Produce detailed construction documentation
- Generate traffic signal plans and related drawings
- Design accessibility enhancements in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act
- Plan and design roadway drainage systems and stormwater management solutions
- Review construction specifications and estimate project costs and material quantities
- Prepare Maintenance and Protection of Traffic (MPT) plans
- Utilize engineering tools and software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Guidesign, and AutoTURN to develop design deliverables
- Conduct ADA compliance inspections on completed infrastructure
- Carry out additional assigned tasks as needed
