Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and refinement of peripheral and core circuit layouts spanning analog, digital, and mixed-signal technologies.
- Ensure layouts meet design specifications, performance goals, and foundry requirements using correct-by-construction approaches.
- Manage design rule checking, layout versus schematic verification, parasitic extraction, and final sign-off processes.
- Maintain design accuracy, manufacturability, and silicon success through comprehensive verification and closure techniques.
- Design full-chip power delivery networks and floorplans to enhance electrical performance and reduce die area.
- Guide strategies for component placement, routing architecture, and hierarchical layout organization.
- Collaborate with design, integration, and process technology teams across global locations to resolve issues and align methodologies.
- Drive alignment on technical decisions including buffer structures, layout practices, and interpretation of design rules.
- Develop and refine layout methodologies, automation workflows, and best practices to boost efficiency and design consistency.
- Promote innovation in layout automation and process improvements for greater throughput and quality.
- Provide technical leadership to senior layout engineers, perform in-depth block reviews, and strengthen team expertise through mentorship.
