Responsibilities
- Collaborate with diverse project teams operating both in-person and remotely
- Lead strategic planning and technical implementation of Big Data and cloud platforms supporting advanced analytics and data science initiatives
- Architect, develop, and maintain modern data systems within public cloud or multi-cloud enterprise environments
- Combine technical execution with leadership communication and project management responsibilities
- Orchestrate data pipelines using contemporary Data Engineering frameworks and integrate with legacy transactional systems
- Develop and deploy data pipelines that enable analytics and machine learning on complex datasets
- Build, deploy, secure, monitor, and maintain data processing infrastructure
- Design automated, scalable pipelines for ingesting and processing structured and unstructured data into analytical systems using batch and real-time methods via cloud-native technologies
- Develop custom solutions using cloud-native services such as Kinesis and Lambda to support streaming data requirements
- Design and manage data storage systems including SQL and NoSQL databases
- Develop and sustain ELT workflows for populating data lakes in platforms like Snowflake, Cloud Storage, or Hadoop
- Create APIs to enable enterprise applications to access data from analytical repositories
- Select appropriate technologies to deliver modern, maintainable, and testable data solutions
- Respond to internal and client inquiries and support resolution of technical issues
- Collaborate with scrum team members to estimate tasks and deliver work within agile sprints
- Investigate data-related issues, determine root causes, and engage with business and technical stakeholders
